It is ¼ of a mile off of the main high way going to Pocatello. That ¼ of a mile is a county road that goes to the local cemetery (very small) and the ranch surrounds the cemetery and has access.

The ranch has a couple of good springs on it. One is being used for the cemetery. There are 4 or 5 older buildings on the property, mostly equipment storage type of buildings. The property is located in the center of the unit 76 trophy elk hunting area. It is a winter feeding ground at this time for hundreds of elk.  It is at this time 580 acres is in a conservation program that may be renewed for the next 5 years if the owner would like to – the owner would receive a check in mid December from the government for approx $25,000 per year.  60 acres was intentionally left off for development purposes and/or farming.  The 580 acres that is in the program can not be farmed or developed, that is why the government pays.  This renews for 5 years in the spring if you wish.  You can go hunt on the property even though it is in the program.

A tremendous investment for 3 to 5 years down the road development because Bear Lake is being sold out and Star Valley is pushing towards it. At this time housing values in Mt, Piliar are close to double the last year because people can buy less and park their boat and only drive 19 miles back to the lake.
